if you are a formula one fan, it's a big race.

i wrote a song about it!

"Silverstone"
The British Grand Prix. it's a big race, and everybody is racing with the utmost intensity.
back in 2022, Carlos Sainz, driving for Ferrari, won the british grand prix, and it was his first victory in Formula One.

A multi-car crash occurred on the opening lap, in which Zhou Guanyu's car flipped over the tyre wall marking the circuit boundaries.

to say it was intense, would be an understatement.
the song tries to capture the vibe of that race.

I'm ready for first practice tomorrow morning.

Also, IndyCar is at Mid Ohio, a track that I have visited many times. Rolling hills, a few off camber turns and a nice long downhill straight. My brother and I used to take the families up there is the 80s-90s, back in the days when Jim Trueman owned the track and Bobby Rahal was driving for Budweiser, and later Miller Lite. It was like a park with a race track in the middle.

I like the part in the song where zhou crashes,
but doesn't get hurt.

:)

The teenager is dominating things so far. It's hard to believe that a 19yr old is kicking so much F1 butt. Antonelli seems to have a feel, much like Verstappen did when he first arrived.

I don't think the song covers Antonelli
Heh.

Maybe a new song?

it's fun putting together songs like this,
because i feel no constraints.
i can play a riff just cuz it feels good, and expand on it...
typical song writing styles can be ignored, and i can explore different approaches, vs just sing song stuff and a-b-c arrangements.
