This made my day

Sorry to highjack the thread (promise I won't go futher than this), but I just got a negative rep point for my comment and a STERN warning from the secret "rep point thread" society! (RPTS?)

Let me explain why I hate the "rep point thread" thing. It gives weight to the comments from people who would rather pat each other on the back in other forums rather than earning points for knowledge and experience. Now a newbie will take that persons advice greater than a more knowledgable person with fewer points who actually has something good to contribute!

Flame away!! I can take it!!

(Waiting for my lynching from the secret "rep point thread" society!)

the funniest thing about the "rep people" is that they really seem to take it seriously.

i really don't get that.

WOW!! Just happened again! Someone is trying to bully me! A second warning! I really stepped on some toes here!

Being threatened on a BBS...someone is trying to start a mafia!

Guess I should wait for the burning crosses on my lawn...

Na, cowards only use red chicklets!

Tell you what? I don't give a flying shit about whether people give me positive or negative rep points. My opinion will not change other than by someone's good and valid comments.

And they call themselves "The RCB Army"!

Check THIS out!

This is the last comment: "Consider this your final warning. The RCB Army will not tolerate further disorderly conduct."

Ooooooooooohhhh!!! I'm scared!!!!! (not)

Let me put all these red chicklets and threats over here by my RAT'S ASS!!

You wanna run me out of town? HA!! Yeah, like I'm gonna lose any sleep over it. Go back to wanking off in the visitor's forum!

Han, you just became my hero!!!!

Thanks for the rep everyone!

I'm with Albini on the "Orwelian futurism" of a screenless SM7. I never use my SM7 with the screen, and sometimes I feel like I'm in the movie Brazil when I'm signing into it. :)

I'm working on recreating Albini's studio right in my bedroom.

So far I have the SM-58 and the Microverb. :D

Makes you wonder what Steve would do with a 57 in your bedroom, eh? :D

I am looking forward to my first rep point some day. :)

Sent more your way, CIS.
Hey, maybe he didn't like the sound of the mic because he was using the wrong clip. Looks like an AKG clip. He's cross-mixing his mic system! Mixing brands totally changes the sound.

Whose ass did I kiss? Certainly not lovers of the highly overrated SM57.

In addition to the 57 and 201 descriptions, I've always loved their description of the Skibbe compressor, and the giant cattle skull hanging over the door to the dead room in the live room of Studio B, as well as the assertion that the badge on the Telefunken SM-2 looks more badass than that on the Neumann SM-2. And that Studio A's control room furniture is "huge...[and] sturdy enough for gymnastics or the obese".

And go ahead, take the 360-degree tour of Studio B's control room.

I've been to this site way too much, but its a great one, so in the parlance of the EA forum, I say "salut! Electrcial Audio website."
