here's what a friend of mine who's been designing guitar amps for the past 20 years had to say:
Pure bull....They are doing tube preamplifiers which may or may not have any effect, depending upon the design. Since it is in a digital system, the levels are quite well known so I really doubt that it is doing much if anything at all.....
Since they are doing 5.1, this tube has to be in the middle of the processing and not in any power stage where it really counts.....
