Ahh.. it's such a fine line we walk between harmony and cacophony.

I must commend you in your consistency between your art and your logic ;)

An exellent piece for a Salvadore Dali cartoon.

If you heard the solo I was tracking not even 20 minutes ago you would've been shocked at the similarities (that is the last time i try to use every fret on the fretboard).

Anyway, i voted cacophony and trashed mine.

Not meaning to be rude doc......
but, do you ever record conventional music?

I will not pretend to understand your music....
I am sure it is genius.........I just don't get it....ya know?

I voted cacophony on mine tho.

Can you blame me for powering down a fruity drink and proclaiming that this piece was sheer genius? Where is the flaw that you can cite?

Not taken that way at all!

Yes, I do record some plain old guitar pickin' rarely.

Some of it is still at nowhere radio.

A small sample is on the H/R.comp #1

Thanks for checking out the more, "astral" tunes!

Interesting. It keeps you right at the edge of just giving up on it as pure chaos. Definitly something to be taken in small doses.

I thought the mix was a little distant sounding, like half way down a hallway, maybe that was the idea?

Good ending.

A little too structured and predictable for my taste, I mean, the same freaking song has been done to death - they write books on "the formula," and I'm just not hearing the ORIGINAL DOC coming through in this?...

(HEY LOOK, THE HILLBILLY'S USING SATIRE AND INVECTIVE MORDANCY AGAIN!!)

Keep it weird, maestro... :D

heh, I wanted to post something like Steve Martin in LA Story in the art museum but I couldn't think of anything.

Okay,...I forgot to compliment you on a couple of things. First off, that download was BLAZING fast!!...

Secondly, I particularly enjoyed that EXTRA discordant bump there at around :51 seconds...Just when you're starting to almost feel something like a perceptable meter, KA-BAM, he drops the coffee pot on the keyboard...lol.

Harpsicord was a nice touch...almost minuetish...

Yeah, joro...doc posts this stuff for awhile, and then he posted this BLISTERING Hendrix cover that was pretty freakin' cool...(at about 64bits, if memory serves, lol).

HMMMmmmmmm,

And to think 'JacKerouac HRC' was a stretch to far to the 'left' for this board.......hmmmmmm.

I'm gonna have to listen to this a few more times to check for a tonal center......melodic developement........harmonic continuity.............emotional content........hold on... NOPE!

Other than the rhythmic imitation and developement which was assumingly inadvertant.......none of the above is apparent after 10 listens.

PLEASE CLUE ME IN!!! GIVE ME AN INKLING AS TO COMPOSITIONAL CONCEPTION & OBJECTIVE or if you were attempting "serialism", or simply letting loose with some freestyle after being released from the cage.

peace
Ralph

That sounds close enough for government work!

Thanks for checking it out!

every piece of yours I`ve heard has a different mood in the structure. Thats interesting. For some reason I had an image of a couple of MSN butterflies doing a short courtship and then humping till they fell off the lid of the piano. :)

What I don't get is how the beat seems to morph into a more insistent iambic from about 0.38.

baDa baDa baDA ba DA!

I wish I could do that.

Nice tune.
