Sorry, but this is just out and out shit and an insult to musicians the world over who actully PLAY and not Program.

Ozzy Osbourne once mailed a popular hotel chain to have them remove the self playing piano instead of hiring a real person to play it. This is probably what he was hearing.

And I've heard lots of player piano- I've never heard any of my work done up on a real piano roll. Even the pure piano stuff.

A MIDI sequencer is just a more accurate implementation of a player piano, allowing more than just the piano patch and having a soft medium (memory) as opposed to paper with holes in it.

Was the shortfall of reality from the step sequenced lines used in conjunction with "played" tracks?
