Theme from Midnight Cowboy revisited

I had posted a mix #1 of this tune a while back (10/2010) in this post.
https://homerecording.com/bbs/gener...inic/theme-song-movie-midnight-cowboy-311941/

I just re-recorded all the lead parts using a different recording method and I really like the sound of the new mix.

Originally, I had used two mics on an amp in mix #1
This mix, Mix #2 is a different recording method that I experimented with.

I kept the same backing tracks parts but recorded all new lead bits using my ReVibe.
It's more of a demo of the ReVibe for my DIY customers, and so the Revibe is featured way up front.

Anywho, I love this tune, hope you get some pleasure from it.

You can play it without downloading it on this page.

Tough - I'll pick Mix 2 cause I like the drums more but Mix 1 cause it's not as treble-y on guitar...
Totally personal choice though as both are examples of fabulous playing and recording!
You've been away a bit - what's up? Work keepin' you busy or just hangin less often?

Thanks again Ido

Too many hobbies, not enought time for all of them
As soon as spring hit here, all the honey-do list came out
The list don't ever seem to get any shorter?

Excellent job on the recording. Mix 2 is my preference.

Dontcha just love guitar instrumentals? They don't make em like that anymore.

Say, have you checked out the guitar instrumentals on a couple Marshall Crenshaw CD's - Jaggarland, #447 and Whats in the Bag?
Retro-classic stuff.
