Lyrics:

I'm way too tired to still be up at such a time, but I can't stop feeling that I wish that she was mine.

If only I could have that chance, to make her love me cause I feel so lonely, I just want to belong, if only I could change the things I know that I did wrong...

Nice heartfelt tune with a lot of emotion. I enjoyed the listen. I like the melody a lot, and I was feeling the lyrics. The song was short, but I think that works on this one to leave you hanging here. You have a nice voice. Your voice sounds hesitant in some places ("tired to still be" and "stop feeling that...") - this works here but maybe not in other tunes? People tell me I have that "problem" myself. I'll pass on their advice and tell you to be more confident and let it all hang out!

As far as the actual recording - Sounded like some tape hiss to me? What's your signal chain? I heard a few pops here and there - like the mic was getting bumped, or maybe you aren't using a pop filter on the vocals? I recently got a stedman proscreen 101 at guitar center for $40 or so (actually I think I got it for free with the purchase of my behringer headphone amplifier thing) and I can't believe the improvement. I used to think my panty-hose on a bent clothes hanger worked pretty well ;-)

Hey, thanks for the comments. Glad you liked it as a song. My voice is hesitating a) because thats kinda the rhythm of the melody and b) because I can't hold my breath that long :P

My signal chain: "Videolink" Mic --> Mic port of AC97 soundcard. Yep its bad, which explains the hiss and stuff. Tommorow my brothers getting a B1 and a preamp, hooray! I had to hold the mic so that probably explains the bumps. Sorry that the quality aint too good!

Thanks for listening!!

Don't worry about the quality - I could still hear it! Not bad at all for that signal chain. I used to record stuff that way, myself. Probably some of my best songs were written like this.

I'll be watching for stuff w/ the new mic and preamp. Make sure to get a mic stand too (or build one for free out of a traffic cone, old mop, and duct tape like my band used to).

Cheers!
