Dude, it was a lot harder than people are making it out to be to mix those drums. Making the drums that perfect shouldn't be a fault...
Ok, now you're delusional.

dude, DUDE.

first the drums are fake, and now the guitars are fake too? hasn't anybody ever heard of revolutionary techniques such as "playing in time" and "playing the right notes?" how about "not messing up?"

I've heard quite a few mixes around here, so I already know the answer (no)

the time i keep is called "CREATIVE TIME"!!!!!

im just saying what my impression is. the bass is just jamming on a single note per chord. sounds pretty mechanical right?? straight eighths. a real player could do this and many do, but a sequencer can easily do it.

and why not have the sequencer do it?

the guitars are playing repetitive parts that would be difficult for a real player to do exactly the same every time. most players would throw in variations or "humanizations". at any rate the big bends would be hard to do so precisely every time with NO variation whatsoever. a sequencer or auto-riffer could do it easily.

i could be wrong and im not saying theres anything wrong with it.

i wish i could play guitar that precisely.

Hmmmm...

Officially tho, he used the same two 'fuck' variations 9 times... Not sure if that counts...

Sure it does... As long as you can say fuck in the sentence, it doesn't matter how you say it. You said it...

Since I've never been involved in a session where good recordings were made simultaneously with a drummer who played flawlessly, I better shut up. Usually either the overheads or the timing of the fills goes wrong for me. At least the playing isn't usually my fault! :)

It's called "drum editing." I read about it on the nuendo forums. Everyone says it is awesome to the max and that "THE PROS" do it

So is getting it right the first time not an option?
