I was slightly mistake as to what time i did this. This particular one wasn't on the Soundblaster, it was on an M-Audio FW410, but I was still using the Berry 6 channel mixer and a crappy Ultragain 2 channel "tube" preamp.

Has plenty of things here and there that could be fixed, and the vocalist really needed to retrack just because of his sliding the pitch on the last word of every chorus or verse, but the quality is still pretty damn decent for a guy with 3 months of hobby-level recording experience. The is the rough cut, so there's empty space up front and the end cuts too early, but I have since fixed those and just never bothered to update this mp3. IMO, it beats the crap out of your recording, but then I'll let others be the judge of that.

Seems to be so much of that going around. I wonder if there is a way to change the settings on that thing to automatically enter the user name in the rep thing? It seems like such a spineless way to attack someone....


BTW, have you figured out how to get 5 "fucks" into a sentence yet? 4 is the most I've seen on here...

In a minimal sentence I can only do 4 - "fucking fuck you, you fucking fuck", but I'm sure someone can improve upon that....

I liked your song, Sile. You can hear the influence of the Behri pres sucking the top end and the life out, but I really like the electric guitar tone and the drums have a lot more separation than a lot of others I have heard.

OK so you get a job at a studio and all of a sudden your a "PRO" and your better than everyone else on a Home recording site. Everything about your attitude/conduct screams non-professional. I was kind of looking forward to your mix but I've decided not to even bother listening. At this point I could care less if its great or super bad. Maybe someday when you get off your "IM A PRO" high horse you will gain the respect that you are demanding. I guess we will never know though because your leaving right? Your song is posted and your out, i believe thats what you said.

After hearing Cloneboy's work, I now have hope that I can quit my job in data warehousing, and become a professional recording engineer!!!

All that talk from Harvey, Bear, etc, made me think I had to have talent, experience and great ears!!! Now I know it's not true....

I'm calling George Massenburg on Monday, and letting him know I'm available!!!!!!!!!! Tell Mutt Lange that I'm taking over chores at the desk!!!!
