Consider this my halfass entry. I have too much going on to worry about this self-inflicted nonsense.

I'll worry about trading real blows later on, when I return immaturity in kind.

oh man.

I don't think I need to say anything at this point. Suffice to say I enjoyed my song more.

What's a good mp3 host that allow 192kbps?

Just go all the way and encode at 320kbs. If people cry about the file size just say "boo hoo the file is to big" in a mockingly crybaby voice and then punch them

Soundclick will let you upload 320, but you have to pay for the "VIP" membership to get it. Then they will still stream it at 128.., but allow other members of the site to download the 320 version...

Yeah I'm with Soundclick already. Not that 128 is such a bad thing with my music .... ;)

as you all know i am on dialup and i appreciate smaller files :o

i have heard enough good stuff at 128 - even with cymbals - to know that its not an excuse for poor sound quality

in fact some of the best stuff by far that i have heard on the forums is at 128

a lot of the stuff at 192 sounds like shit and theres nothing worse than downloading some moron's 5 or 6 minute song at 192 and finding out it sounds like pure crap

so do the dialup folks a favor and save the 192 stuff for yourselves. i dont care who you are - if its a huge file i will just kill the download and its no hair off my butt :p

I'm not going to give any particulars cause there's no need. That's fuckin horrible and you know it. That's just plain bad tracking. And you have the balls to say Jake's stuff is ok but he couldn't charge real money. What a joke.

Wow...........just wow.........all this shit in this thread....for THIS?

I make no claims to be a pro, and have no formal training in any of this stuff....and a few months after I started playing around with it, I made a better recording than this with a Soundblaster and a freaking 6 channel Behringer mixer.

Talk is cheap. That's the whole point of this thread.

Prove it.

What's your time worth, CS? I might be in the wrong line of work...

Feel free to listen to my mixes while you wait.

Critique 'em too, if you like.

How Do I Rate is my fave.
I was just listening to "My World" and I was wondering how you arrived at that piano sound. Sounds like a keyboard or a softsynth through delays/reverb. That right?

I'll PM you when I have something worth putting up. I'm starting from scratch and this weekend's project is to record a vocal over a track my friend made and try to make it sound ok.

Actually finished product usually sounds like this:

What I posted was just the quick-n-crappy mix to shut people up around here and live up to my second deadline.

Still awaiting Seifer's mix.....

Still awaiting Noisedude to post something not completely bereft of musical talent, much less production abilities...

Still awaiting Jake-Owa to actually record something by himself....
