urrrggggg!!!! kramer save me! Gimme your ears!!!
Well...I believe all the vocal problems are fixed...and I think I removed at least some of the harshness in the guitars...but I'm not sure it was enough. Also...I'm having a heck of a time with the chorus sounding too bassy....Not sure what to do here...Would a multi-band limiter perhaps help? Any thoughts...as always...will be very helpful...I'm getting at my wits end!

I really like this tune and her voice..

those samples in the beginning sound better than before, but are still noisy sounding... The vocal levels are uneven.. maybe they need some compression to even out the level.. I don't know.. this is a good song, but the guitar playing seems pretty loose in some spots.. I know a lot of the old style black metal bands were like that, but this seems like it would be a lot better if it was a bit tighter.. (it's not really black metal I know)

It's coming along though, and the tune is a good one..

thanks Sabbath!

Thanks Sabbath...its a real difficult tune for me as far as eq and levels. I was trying to have the chorus guitars really open up and sound big...but I just can't seem to do it without drowning everything out. I duplicated the guitar track and panned it...L and R...but it just creates too much low end with the bass...and the fact that she has a fairly low end voice as well....I'll try a bit more compression on her voice to try and balance it...she really uses inflections in this song...and I just don't have the talent to give it justice yet...This song has truly been a struggle to get a clean....yet rich sound.

That is a bazillion times better than the first mix!I still have the original mix and the difference(for the better)is like night and day.

You tamed the guitars to the point where they are working within the song now instead of trying to take the focal point away from the vocal.

The vocal sounds really good out front like it is.There may be a couple of things volume wise that need very minor twaeking but thats about it.

There is one glitch at 1:37.Sounds like it happpened during the making of the wav or mp3.

You did a great job of giving this tune an overhaul and putting all the elements into theor proper places.

[edit to add] another glitch at 2:40.

Kramer!

Kramer! With the time I'm spent struggling with this song...it makes me
feel soooo good to hear that from you who was most critical. And...being
critical is exactly what I'm looking for...I can't thank you enough...It truly is
a long learning curve for being able to mix some of these songs. I'll look
into the time points you mentioned. Thanks again!

two glitches

Hmmm....there aren't any noises in the mp3 I uploaded in the time points you mentioned Kramer...perhaps it had something to do with the upload or the download...which seems a bit odd...
Track Rat...are you around? any helpful words?
I'm not sure what else to try here...any help from anyone would be great....

Seems like if you threw some compression on the bass, and tamed vocal levels when they get a bit too hot (fader riding) you'd have it...

Anything else you did to this would just be a production decision... nice work. Chick singers rock.
