A Guide for Home and Studio. I just finished reading this book by Jon Chappell (Hal Leonard Publications). It probably isn't for the seasoned professional but I found it very informative and an easy read. It covers lots of subjects (equipment, setups, using computers for recording, mixing, etc. etc.) all geared toward the guitarist and recording at home. It's well worth the $20.

It's a good book, but some of the info is a little dated.
