Upgraded my POD last night to version 2.0. It took approximately 2 minutes and I was drunk even!

This has probably been discussed several times around here, but I didn't hear about it until yesterday.

Basically the upgrade just improves existing features and allows you to switch between all models and all cabinets without using software. But you do get 4 new amp models, two of which are really good.

I am extrememly impressed by Line6...both in the fact that they designed a product that's upgradable, and in the fact that they made the upgrade public. You don't have to send your POD in, you don't have to spring for a brand new POD....just swap a single chip. The kit contains everything you need.

Where?

I've been thinking about the upgrade since it was announced but just kinda forgot about it while I was waiting for the price to drop a bit. Did you get that price locally or did you buy online?

Hey I did the upgrade too. And it was very easy. I bought mine at a local music store for $40. All you need to do is find a store that is a Line 6 dealer. My store had the upgrade in stock so I didn't have to wait at all. Pretty cool.

Yep, I got mine locally too. I think I paid $45 but I put it on the credit card so it was free :) Shhh, I don't wanna wake up.
