Hey,

I don't know if you saw my other threads, but I am planning on making a studio and have no knowlege (maybe you can help me out in some of my other threads) but anyway, I have roughly designed my "studio" room.

The dimensions aren't exact (to be honest, I guessed) but it doesn't matter. It's where I have my placement of everything. I want to take some feedback of what I can do (if any) to make this the ideal setup.

Yes, there are speakers. There are supposed to be more actually but I didn't add them. The truth is, it's a gaming computer that I have yet to order. It's going to have surround sound so hence all the speakers.

I hope you can help me out (if needed).

From my understanding you should have your monitors at ear level in a triangle pattern to your listening position.

So have the spearers above you?

No, what Ethan is saying is move the desk to the top of your drawing so that the speakers are firing toward the long end of the room instead of the short end.

VelvetElvis and Ethan are correct...WHEN IT COMES TO A RECORDING MONITORING SITUATION...........however, if this is only a GAME PLAYING situation.....WHO CARES? Listening environment for playing games is hardly TASK CRITICAL. I highly doubt long axis and equalateral triangle monitoring will improve your aim.;)

I think this proves my point.

Alright. The only thing that might be a problem is the window. That room was poorly done when our house was built. It gets very cold in their in the winter. Then, in the summer, it gets very hot. I think If I put heavy duty light absorbing blinds up, it will help. For the winter, I'll see what a difference it makes when I open the heat vents up. Last time I opened them up, it didn't help. If worst comes to worst, I'll get a small electric heater.
