The ORDER. Thanks...now how about the order while mixing?

Thanks, everyone for your answers. Now here's another question. Once I have a recorded track, in the effects 'loop' (in the send and return), what is a good order to 'add' effects to a track? If effects are desired, or to help "fix" a great take? I only have 1 signal path (stereo or mono) to work with right now. Does compressor/limiter, then EQ, then Digital effects processor seem like a good route? (If all are needed...if only adding an effect, I should just remove whatever "gadget" I don't need from those devices, correct?)
