I'll re render the sections and try to match the levels then repost tomorrow.
Two versions of guitars for the intro to my most recent thing.
They both feature a humbucker loaded guitar the 2nd version had the level boost by a boss overdrive pedal, (tone neutral, level maxed drive off), and on one side has a tiny bit of drive from the same pedal. If you know boss pedal knobs then the notch is at about 7.15 so just a smidgen to give it some difference again. generally one side is bridge pick up & the other is neck.
Which works better - OH, the 2nd version is louder - sorry.
Here's a couple clips I did yesterday with the DSL100, G12H, & e609, nothing special, just fucking around really...
LP > DSL100 > G12H > e609
Green crunch, 50w mode
Resonance: 0
Presence: 3
Bass: 6
Middle: 6
Treble: 5-6
Gain: 8
First clip is with the volume on about 2:
Green Crunch Vol 2
Second clip is the volume on about 5:
Green Crunch Vol 5
No eq or anything in the daw, only thing different is the volume on the amp, & I had to adjust the pre-amp gain on my interface to keep it from clipping...

Exactly dude, I've been asking around to see what really happened, apparently the cops got after him sometime last night, & he tried to out-run 'em, crashed his car, had a pocket-full of pills (several different kinds, xanax, percocet, & more from what I've heard), couple needles, spoon, open container, blew like 3 times the legal limit on the breathalyzer, so it looks like sadness for him dude....I hate to see that happen to him too, we actually started rehab about the same time 8 years ago, but he didn't stick to his guns...Lol. Goddamn. Sucks for him, but look at the bright side, you won't get caught up in that shit.
Quick question, not to de-rail the thread. (As if I'm going to de-rail a 5oo page thread.)
I saw a pretty good deal on a Fender Princeton 650 for about $200. But the price isn't really the issue. I already have a Fender Champ X2. Is the Princeton potentially different/better enough to justify getting it?
I'm guessing that, if I'm going to get a second amp, go for something more different, like a Marshall or something, right?
Lol...I think the world of this guy Greg (I went all through school with him, I've known him all my life), but he ain't no stranger to being locked up dude....The long terms cons will be doing paradiddles on his anus.

Thanx a lot. Yeah, I'm thinking that I should go for something else entirely. The Super Champ already has about 16 different pre-set sounds. Also, the Super Champ is only 15 watts but gets plenty loud enough. I can't imagine cranking a 65 watt amp as loud as I'd need to.Personally if it were me i'd probably be inclined to go for another flavor of amp all together. But that said, The princeton i think is probably the Cadillac of Fenders new breed of Amps that offers some different amp models. And at 65W chances are its going to sound a hell of a lot better then whatever POS Fender Mustang that landed in my lap. In throry you'd be getting a bunch of different amps in that one Princeton. Assuming you choose to look at it that way. With that stuff in mind, depending on if the price is good or not it might be a great addition!
I see you are in Montreal! It might be worth a trip to a Long and McQuade to demo one before you buy this one.

There's no Long and Maquade in Montreal. But I live about a 30 second walk away from a new branch of Steve's.
Another frickin' awesome one.
yeppers .... besides, that 650 is a solid state amp (did you not notice that?) ..... your X2 will do the Fender thing far better and is probably about as loud.I'm guessing that, if I'm going to get a second amp, go for something more different, like a Marshall or something, right?
this is the 650 which is a solid state thing .... no way it sounds as good as that all tube X2 IMO. But that said, The princeton i think is probably the Cadillac of Fenders new breed of Amps that offers some different amp models.
