Yep - been using a JCM900 dual reverb for years. Here's my settings. I actually use the bass knob lol... Just listen to my soundclick for samples if you like examples. Definitely not too much bass.
Playing the Les Paul Trad Pro lead pickup-
First 2/3 is the Marshall Class 5 running through the greenback.
Last bit is through the 10" speaker in the combo.
I played it cranked to get the dirt tone.
I think it could have sounded better with a little less bass.
I kinda like the sound of the stock speaker, less "mushy."
I think it is well matched to go with the amp.
Bass- 4
Mid - 5
Treble - 7
it has a .3w switch so I can play it in my living room.
my brain is about 150 watts on it's own so that'd be too loud for my room.I'm getting a 0.05 watt amp so I can play it inside my hat.
Dimed, of course.
The Class 5 may be something I'll check out pretty soon, sounds good. I'd love to find a Marshall that doesn't shake the walls, but still gives "that" sound......I may be chasing something that isn't possible though.....
I'll post some clips tomorrow, after I get the new cab.....
isn't it impossible to turn off the amp modeling in a POD?
