Well done True! Good to get to hear your music. Passionate sound... always in tune, vocal is locked into the rhythm. I like the keyboard sound and playing. I never like drum machines or bass synths, so my own taste would be to replace those w/real. Hey Rammi... your style would match this stuff perfectly... Arrangement-wise, I think everything hangs together very well. Maybe an added elec guitar part during the instrumental section would sound good too.

Enjoyed it.

EDIT: Hey, I listened to the mp3 of this song just posted in the Blues thread by chocktaw and it sounds very different, mix-wise, than the mp3 I had just listented to here... a bit better sound quality actually... better balanced low end and higher level. ????? Different versions? mp3 conversion problem?

Without further ado, I give you True's Fire and Wind!

:D

NL, you are the man...or at least the guy drinking beer in Trenchtown.... :D

True, damn girl, nice tune. With all the comments you had made earlier about your voice sounding like Yoko, I was wondering how I was going to comment on the vocals. Those Yoko comments were the farthest thing from what you sound like. More like Ashley Cleveland. Sweet...

LOL!!! Hey DOG!!! Thank you, I am glad I don't sound like Yoko to ya, although everyone has a right to sound as they are. And Yoko is unique! :)

Who is Ashley Cleveland?

Ashley Cleveland is a singer who does more Gospel Rock, and did a cover of Gimme Shelter that is totally unbelievable. Furthest thing from Yoko I could think of. Alana Miles maybe...?(Black Velvet). Or even a smoother Kim Carnes...something like that. Not to pick on Yoko, but her voice bothered me...

Doggie Dog, here is the bass tab for your song. Make sure to open the file up in Notepad so it will read correctly.

Let me know if you have any other trouble with it. ;)

Remco, it is in Dutch. I am not very fluent in Dutch. Bedankt, or gedaan?? :)
And I couldn't get a download.

Awesome True! ;)

My first thought was Hey! She's all Stevie Nicks-y. Yea, that Black Velvet song that Dog mentioned too. Cool voice True. There were some spots on awake where your voice was just too powerful for that mic! I think I heard a bit of clipping.

Damn, True likes to sing!!! :p :D

Dogman, VSpaceBoy.

How goes the Dark and Lonely venture?

So far, so good. shiatzu is doing some keys, and I have been stuck on vocs, so hopefully Space can get some scratch vocs to me in a few days....I seem to be having timing issues..... I think he might have to sing em....

An older jam from my childhood years (2 years ago.. no lyrics... yet.)

LOL...thanks a million Roktuk!!! Glad you took the time to listen.
That loudmouth of mine used to get me in trouble at home and school, because it carried every word I said!!! :D And although I will risk looking dumb, what is clipping ROKTUK?

From my adobe audition help.

The Level Meters represent the incoming signal in dBFS (decibels below full scale), where a level of 0 dB is the maximum amplitude possible before clipping occurs.
