Okay,
So I'm currently purchasing everything I'm gonna need for my own home studio.
I already have some Fostex PM.04's, Audio Technica ATHM40's, Some mics: (dynamics, large/small diaphragm condensers and a ribbon), Some DAWs (Logic 9, Pro Tools 9, Ableton 8), A bunch of cables and instruments, a 27" quad core iMac...
Bascially everything I need I have on the way/here.
EXCEPT....
an interface/mixer.
Probably the most important part, haha.
At the studio I used to use I use a big Mackie through Apogee converters into the Mac.
But That is far from my budget.
I want something well under $1000.
I don't know if I should get a fire wire mixer (like an Onyx I) or just get an interface.
I'll be using it for recording multiple tracks, plus playback and headphones.
I really need help here. Any suggestions on a digital mixer or interface OR another alternative would be amazing.
Thanks so much.
