I am here....one question. Is this going to be as scary as the Weedwhacker song? :eek: :D

Hey, I listened to this last night. I don't know why I didn't comment. Excuse me for my mess up....I had been to a BBQ last night and had a few drinks.

I had listened to the CC blues too and loved it!!

I will listen again to MannishBoy with fresh ears. :)

Intro is great!! Piano is pretty much buried. May want to bring it up and out to define that great bluesy sound.

The backhooting sounds like someone is having a good time!! ;)

Good vocals. Love the backup hoots. The vox echo is great at 2:39. The vox wail at 4:18 was a good thing.

The guitar tones are good.

If there were one thing to add to this, it would be a few more guitar solo breaks inbetween the verses. One, to change the monotony of verse phrasing and two...just because those wailing blues solos would kick ass!! :D

Still listening...

The snare has a great pop to it. Kick sounds good too with nice depth to it.. Cymbals are right on.

The rhythm axe is a tad over in volume and kinda dominates, while most of the lead going on is at a low volume.

Still a cookin' tune. :cool:

I honestly didn't see this until now...Must have posted it on a busy night and went to page 2 before anyone got a chance to see it. I don't think anyone's ignoring you.

Now I'm waiting for it to download. I've tried to open the page 3 times with no success. Finally, it opened and I see that it leaves me no choice but to downoad, which I'm not crazy about.....Now the download is taking way too long. I'll try again tomorrow when I'm more patient. A streaming option would be great.

Excellent playing and singing...

Nice mix - nothing but good things happening here. Ok the piano is a bit buried per True....but this is mainly a geetar tune....

Hope some more of our HR brethren give this a listen - then they can say we heard them when.....

I'd be pretty happy with this.....
 
I know it is a guitar tune, so maybe just can the piano...or at least bring it up in those spots such as 00:10 all the way through to 00:40...I hear no lead in there. Then all the way through the song, you have it placed perfect in the mix, just not at a listenable nor enjoyable volume.The piano really adds some get down soul to the tune, without stealing from the guitar. It just seems....if you don't use it as a defined piece of the music, then why have it. The way it sits in the mix now volume wise, is more like someone was playing in the background and accidently got recorded. Just my thoughts... :) It's your tune, I am just the idiot listening. I hope I haven't offended you in any way. :) :) :)
 
You are no idiot True and your reviews and comments are right on the money. I definitely agree the piano could come up...

BTW - do you realize you are almost at 20,000 posts? Holy S#$%! Cool!

Now back to our regular programming!
