The definition of woke?

Glad that the algorithm is going to be sending you guys all sorts of Trans videos from now on... guess that's what you want at the end of the day though. How does it feel?

He said the phrase 'Stay Woke' meaning to keep your eyes open when in Alabama due to 9 black men being falsely accused of rape and jailed but eventually freed. So black people had a term they used with a sincere and legit purpose in reference to avoiding being victimized. It was appropriated and used to ridicule situations where efforts to be inclusive (or not offend) become obvious or possibly go too far. That certainly happens. The problem is when that ridicule extends past where it’s appropriate, and begins to hurt those that are still trying to get to the level playing field. Personally, I support lgtb rights, but I do draw the line at biological men playing women’s sports for example. If that ridicule begins to increase discrimination against someone just trying to live life as a trans person not in sports, or gay people etc, that’s a problem. It’s become too easy for some (like certain FL governors) to throw around the term and set back a lot of progress.
 
"WOKE" is the false assumption that everyone should be reduced to the lowest common denominator of society, and base commonality should be celebrated.

It occurs to me that "SOCIALISM" caters to the lowest common denominator of society...
Then, expects everyone but the "ruling class" to live by that diminished standard; Unless, of course, the ruling class can also use that standard as their excuse for impropriety...

The WOKE seek to propagate the intellectual fantasy that perception defines reality and all life decisions are morally equal. SOCIALISM tries to enforce that fantasy by law... with obvious exceptions
 
The WOKE adopt the term "equitable" to describe a lawful morality that is never intended to be applied equally...

How are you defining the “lowest common denominator of society”? Isn’t the lowest common denominator that we are all brothers and sisters, (made in God’s image if you subscribe to that, which you claim to)?

I’ll agree with you that if being woke means I have to consider someone who wants to “identify as a cat and pee in a litter box at work or school” as a protected class that gets special accommodations, that is a bridge too far. In real life, I have yet to encounter something that extreme. I hear stories about stuff like that, mostly from far right news that is trying to scare folks. The reality is that they are scaring people so much that it causes a backlash that hurts the non-extremes.

The right throws everything they can into the “woke” bucket so they can simplify their message and stir up fear.

Trans people are people. Gay people are people. Black people are people. Illegal aliens are people. People is the common denominator. Don’t throw everyone under the bus because of a handful of extremes.
