But the great old school L.A. disc jockey Jim Ladd died recently.
As did KROQ DJ Dusty Street. Passed away in the fall.
If you are old enough and grew up listening to rock radio in the Los Angeles area - you are probably familiar with both of those people.

When you consider that the British Invasion started 60 years ago this weekend (Beatles on Ed Sullivan - Feb 9, 1964), it's not surprising that 80 yr old rock and roll stars are dying. It also means that we're getting there as well, much to our dismay.

Yes - considering that the average lifestyle was/is kind of rough with lots of emotional ups and downs it really no wonder.
Not my dismay - I plan on sticking around as long as it's possible.It also means that we're getting there as well, much to our dismay.
