I hope so... It's not cliche if it's true. Listen to the rest of it too. maybe because you heard the word pimp in it. I can honestly say that is the only song out of his maybe 20 that says pimp. And I know there's nothing about beating down hoes. Maybe you just heard some words you reckognized and didn't pay attention to the ones you didn't. If you don't relate to it then you just don't. There are two rappers by the way. I think I should change the first song. You guys listened to the first line and judged it on that. Most of this is free style any way as I've said. IT's ONLY ROUGH CUTS. like I said. But is it not better than the rap you hear on the radio?

Also the title was really just to sucker you in anyway. Allthough I stand behind the music 100% :D Besides... If I don't think it's that good how could I expect you too?

In case you didnt catch it,my opinion was that it totaly sucked. It does suck
better than average radio rap,but in the end,all rap sucks.
For a guy like me,it is hard to decide where my hatred of your non-musical
street poetry begins.I suspect that it starts somewhere around "sugar hill gang" and ends with the fact that you cant hear a decent soul tune
anymore with-out some rapper throwing in his 50 cents and fucking it up.

Sorry this wasn't the song that made you like rap. It's worth trying to like. As far as what you said... Of course I caught it. you just didn't catch the last line of my first post.

Story to Tell,
Musically it's JUST A LOOP & as neither the loop nor the lyric go beyond the same few bars/ideas before repeating these ( no matter that the words used vary) I lost interest pretty soon. I did listen until the end though 5 mins 15 secs is a long time for a rhyme.
Lyrically too many false rhymes as well as the swearing & violence for me personally.
I'd describe it as rough justice homilies & hubris wrapped in loose rhythm. Initially attractive but it failed to progress.
A racist label is a racist label no matter who's mouth it comes from. I don't buy into the idea that it's OK for a "minority group" to use a perjorative within it's own ranks.
in terms of this forum:
Smoothly produced. the lyrics were fairly clear, & the delivery unhurried. Good diction. Wwell done for the genre - I don't like NWOBHMetal either.

I got a nice red chicklet for my posting in this thread.

It simply said "You'll Learn"

It wasn't mrT though.

Hmmm....there must be a lurking rap fan in the MP3 clinic...I am going to go an an ignore list hunt.

Unless the offender will just come clean now. :D

Yeah, I got one too. It said "Canadian". That's all. Someone's got to learn the art of insulting. That's one of the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me. Thanx. :)

I haven't said too much in this thread because I honestly couldn't be bothered, but I hope I don't get a red chicklet because I can't afford to lose any rep points!!  :D

See... I don't make the beat I don't write the lyrics. I engineer and co-produce this. SOOOO The comments that I care about are related to that side of it. If you don't like rap I don't think this will turn you. You might think the content is whatever, but there is something more in there. Everything these two rap about is what they've been through. And if that doesn't appeal to you maybe it wasn't meant to appeal to you. Do you write songs to appeal to Rappers??

As far as Rap not being music... if that's how you feel then that's how you feel. But it's some Bullshit either way.

Rayc, Some of the best rap songs ever made was 4 bars. Sometimes that's all it takes.

.
To an extent sure. I make music to the best of my ability, if anyone happens to enjoy it I am flattered. If you think YOU are an outsider, I am a classical musician in a sea of rockers. It doesnt stop people from offering helpful suggestions about my music, nor is their help not appreciated because they are not my target audience.

Once you realize what the game is you will be happier. The goal:

To make the best music you can. Genre is SOOOOOOO irrelevant, nobody cares. You seem to be under the impression that music is a competition: Competition is for Horses. If people here dont like classical music, I have to prove to them why they should. The same with rap: you have to prove with your MUSIC that it is viable, well-done and creative.

Sony doesnt care if you make classical, rap, disco, polka or Tibetan Monk Chants: if you have a good product they will try and sell it. The genre doesnt matter, nor does the whole "keepin it real" stuff. Recording is tedious, scientific and precise. Just gettin in front of a mic and sayin "My Booty dont stank" will not sell one record. The best rappers have slick production and extremely good audio effects to go with their stuff.

I listened to this track.

And first off; Drop the attitude.

There has been so many; who`s conqured the world in this clinic.
I think it atracts Napoleons.

I`ll give you this though your by far the worst, so you can still salvage your points (be on the good side with us).

I`ve been upping my songs to quite a few forums, after I found this place I just did it here.
The guys here are great, they all try to help, and if they cant they`ll at least give you a pat on the back.

We also have colabs and some competitions, you can learn a lot.

Now to your song I listened to the first track yesterday, and it sounded allright, I had no beef with it.
But its not the best I`ve heard in years.

I`m no expert in the field, but It dident sound like some of the Bigg`s I`ve heard.
No I`ve heard some real crappy rappin as well, in the Philippines.
Man that will just tear you apart, it sounds like Scatman on speed, in reverse.

To sum it up, you clearly know how to record IMHO, but you need to work on your attitude.
