What a welcome, thanks guys. I know I've got some big shoes to fill here so take it easy on the newbie if you would. Anyway, I look forward to talking with you more and hearing all of your input on my stuff. Dad and I are having problems getting anything down because we're too busy writing the new stuff. It's been at least ten years since I've had to write something down on a Mickey D's bag. Oh well thanks again!!!

I guess you or your dad are gonna have to write us a song. I'm singing one this coming weekend with a lady at church. It is in the ozone it's so high.
 
Yeah Gospel, originally I was thinkin we would have her do the BG's on this one I layin tracks for now. But I think a duet would be much better.

Christian Rock/The Electrics

Hi folks,,
im seeing a lot of mails from christians in the forums lately.
Although im not a christian myself,,i do play in a christian band from Scotland called"The Electrics".
We are(now)a 4 piece Celtic Rock/Punk/Folk band from Glasgow. We have toured in the USA several times and wil be returning there for 2 weeks in October.
If anyone would like to check us out we have stuff at www.mp3.com/theelectrics and at our site at www.theelectrics.com Also some tour dates,links etc.
I hope im not breakin any unwritten rules about self promotion here,,and if i am i apoplogise.

Being in a Christian band, it won't be long till you'll be one too.
 
Electrics

Well ye never know mate,,but i doubt it.
Ive been friends with and played in bands with christians for years and years,and they dont even TRY
to get me in "The God Squad"anymore.
Its sometimes a wee bit odd when we gig somewhere and someone comes over to discuss the bible or sumthing afterwards. I usually just say,,,"hmmmmmm,,,that would be an ecumenical matter" and walk away rubbing my chin! Hehehe,,im only joking. If it ever happens i just explain that im not one of the lads and they are always cool about it. Ive never had a problem.
Theres no "holy notes" so its all music to me.
And theres nuthin in any of the lyrics that offend me or anything,,so im happy with that.
Check us out and see what you think maybe huh?
 
I'm gonna check you out. I've got a slow connection so I have to wait till I get through with everything else first.

I'm real new here but this forum was quite influential in my decision to by an MR-8. It's been a real blast putting stuff together and dumping it to my PC for editing. Can't believe how easy it is and how well it works! Of course now there's this issue of more cash for better software........................it never ends does it?!

My first effort is about done (instrumental only, I'm afraid) but posting it someplace where others can hear it is beyond me. My brother does web sites for a living so maybe I'll see about him helping a bit.

As for all the Christians that seem to be popping up:

COUNT ME IN!
