Tempo changes

First forgive me for being the least knowledgable person in the forum. I have Home Studio 9.0 and I usually just make guitar/ vocal demos. I have been trying to add drum loops though and have a problem adjuting the tempo. I have been taking wav clips copying and pasting. I won't go through all of my trials but how do I adjust the tempo for the entire track once I have peiced together my drum track. Thanks Mike
 
You have to set the tempo before you import or record any audio...
 
I have done that and when I play it back the tempo is always the same as when I just play the clip through Media Player. The only difference I see when I set the tempo is the physical length of the file in the track
 
I'm an idiot. I finally got it. Thanks but I'll probably rear my ugly head again
