Tascam Won't power up.

I have a Tascam mf p01 4 track recorder that I use for rough sketches of songs.
It now won't power up -nothing, dead. The power adapter is OK.
My question is, is it worth repairing and does anyone know what may be wrong with it (I know a bit of a long shot).

You may have a cracked / loose solder joint.
If you are handy with a solder gun,..it can be an easy fix.

Though,..I cannot tell you if this IS definitely the problem.

Try opening the unit up, and inspect the solder joints around the power supply porthole...with a magnifying glass.

This is just one suggestion.
 
How do you know the power adapter is OK? Do you know if your deck has fuses?
