People are no damned good
Fairly new out from Tascam is a set of studio monitors called the VSL21 ($95 from Musician's Friend). Consists of 2 flat (as in less than an inch thick) speakers and a subwoofer. They've gotten some pretty good reviews in computer magazines as studio monitors, but computer mag writers usually aren't pro sound people.
Has anybody heard of (or preferably heard) these? And if so, what is your impression? The brand name is well known, the price seems good (but, of course, if they don't sound good, it's still a waste of $$$--just a waste of less of it.)
I'd appreciate any words on them. Tried a search here with no luck--obviously too new for anyone to have written about them yet.
