can get a number of control surface options to work by assigning the specific MIDI control #'s of the Tascam to specific Reaper functions (and the template can be saved) . . . for some reason pan seems to be problematic and you can select to toggle either 'solo' or 'mute' (with any one template) but not both
probably some other idiosyncrasies but those are the ones that come to mind
