i need some help getting my music from a tascam porta02mk2 to my computer.

Line out from the porta to soundcard in on the computer. You'll need the proper cables to connect from one to the other, and software to record your music as you play it through the lines out. Simple enough; are you having a specific problem?

I'd recommend Kristal Audio Engine, its free software.

it will take the audio from your cassette, into the soundcard, and the
software recorder and mixer, will turn it into a wave-file.
which can be burnt and played in most consumer 16/44.1 CD players.

you'll have to get some other free software to mush it into MP3, for emailing most likely.

Do you want to transfer all 4 tracks separately to computer for mixing?
If so you need at least a 4 channel sound card and software that will handle recording those four channels all at once.
If you just want to do an "on the fly" mix using your 02 mixer as it goes stereo into the computer then you only need a stereo card and software which can be had just about anywhere.
The first approach obviously gives you much more flexibility with all the advantages of digital editing.
