Hello all. I'm new to the forum. I have some Tascam gear that I keep debating whether or not to sell. I have a 38, M-308B, two DBX noise reduction units, Hosa snake cables to connect everything together, three reels of Quantegy tape (the ones with the red flanges), and a phantom power supply. I bought the Tascam stuff about 10 years ago from the original owner. The heads are in very good/excellent condition and everything works great. I purchased a new pinch roller for it a couple of years ago since the old one was looking a little bit shiney. I have only used it a handful of times myself. I'm just not that into recording. So I'm thinking of selling it and getting something that is more useful to me. Could anyone give me an idea of the current value of all of this stuff? I have a friend that might be interested and I would like offer him a price that is fair to him and to me. Thanks.

Yeah . . . . the current value is . . . . 25dollars for all of it . . . SHIPPED!!!!!!! Now send it to me!~!!!!!!!! LOL

No, I have no idea of the value, but depending on where you are and when you decide to sell (if you do) I may be very interested.

Too bad I've already got a 38 and the DX-4D units, or I might take you up on that. My fiance would kill me if I brought another piece of equipment home (at least something that she could spot), especially a duplicate of a machine I already had.:p

Where are you located? I also might be interested in buying that, it's an exact duplicate of my first reel to reel setup that I no longer have.

:)

That's way too far for me to drive and pickup, Shipping this kind of stuff is just far too risky for me these days, too many good machines are meeting terrible ends in the hands of careless/inept packers and shippers.

As far as pricing goes, that would depend on the condition everything is in, but IMO, a rough ballpark figure that I would think is fair would be.. $300 each for the 38 and the 308-B, and $200 for the two DBX units, $800 for the whole setup.

I may be off on those prices though, I haven't been analog shopping in quite some time. :o

Hope this helps!
