Tascam Porta One problems :(

Hi, I have a very annoying problem with my Porta studio.
Its a Tascam Porta one (pretty old i guess).
The problem is that when I record on the secon track it leaks sound from the first chanel. I can hear some noise from other chanels to. (damn my english sucks).
It is also impossible to get rid of the shit. When I try to erase the chanel, almost all sound disapear but there is still little noise left . I just wont go away.

I tried to demagitise the heads but the problem is still there. If it is poissible to fix this I would be very hapy.
I cant afford to buy a new porta.

Just to make sure: Im using a Porta one and record from my guitarr Amp (Peavey pro studio 112). I use one regular guitarrcable from the "send" on the amp to one of the inputs on the porta. I hope someone out there Understand what Im talking about and can help me

Make sure your channel input selectors are off on the tracks your not recording on. Be sure your pan control is full left or right when recording the track. In your case, the second would be full right. See if this helps you out. Loren.
