What do you guys think...should I sell this thing or keep it? I'm leaning towards selling it. If anyone out there wants it, make me an offer and I'll consider it. I have to tell you, I'm really tossed about this since I love this thing. I just don't use it as much and I'd like to be able to upgrade my sound card situation. Personally, I'd rather it go to one of you guys where I can check up on it from time to time. :(

MSR-16 1/2" analog 16 track in great condition, all the manuals, remote and everything. I'll throw in 6 reels of tape, three reels nearly if not brand new, the other ones are without hubs, but with a quick turn of the screw-driver are ready for use. I'll also throw in a Tascam MTS-30 tape sync that I just can't figure out (no manual).

I'm not sure if I want to sell it or not. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

hey,

I'll trade you for a symetrix 528.

Hey, If I wanted to do my vocals on it before transferring to pc, Is there a way to sync everything up??

read the above thread for some testimonials. This is the original 528, not the e version with a different eq section

check out this quite. I think the pre he is comparing it to costs almost $2000

Don't sell it!!

I kick myself everyday for selling my 1/2" TSR-8.

Emeric is right, dont sell it.
TRADE IT!!! to ME!!

hey, emeric, why do you kick yourself for selling it? What did it d to your sound?

I can't trade for it. I'm going to need the cash for I/Os into my computer. Thanks for the offer though, the Symetrix is nice!

It can be sync-ed, I've had it synced to a Tascam DA-88, so I should be able to sync it to computer...I just haven't figured it out. I don't have the manual for the sync unit.

I was going to do just what you suggested. That would be way cool.

Emeric, I'd love to keep it. I hate getting rid of gear, especially stuff I like. I'm just sick of not having a decent sound card. I want a MOTU damn it!

Cyan, I just really liked the machine. Well built and sounded great.

If I still had it I'd use it as the front end for recording, and then dump that to digital through the 1010. Then I wouldn't worry as much about digital glitches and unpredictable computer hassles.

I like digital recording though, don't get me wrong. I just prefer tape but can't afford it.

Thanks for taking a look. I started off this thread by telling anyone interested to make me an offer. Understand that I'm not at all sure I want to sell this thing. Emeric has got me reconsidering. But if I see an offer I can't refuse, then...I might change again!
