tascam ministudio problem...

hey everybody! okay, the "play" button when it is engaged doesn't pick up any sound,but when i press it all the way down and hold it with my finger it picks up the sound fine, but i have to hold my finger on it.
is this fixable? i took the tascam aprt and there isn't anything wrong with the belts or other obviuos things. all the other buttons work though,so this is confusing.

I always love the digital guys answer to everything, "upgrade".

Anyhow, try posting this one in the "Analog only" forum. I personally don't know the answer to the problem, but I know there a couple of guys in there that do.

Obviously the catch on the button wore out...but if you have a cassette portastudio...you can upgrade cheap...its not like you can fix this.
