I have a Tascam M 520 mixer as some of you know and when I got it the guy couldn't find the cable..still hasn't. I've given up on that and have talked to Sweetbeats about alternatives and such. He was kind enough to get the right kind of cable and I was able to find a female Hirose connector, but not a male. I've thought about Dsub, etc. Sweetbeats mentioned getting a cable/connector like the old printer kind since it had the same volts, amps (whatever it was). So I've been looking at different things and I saw this.
It comes from a MCI JH 110 used for connecting a remote. (I recently got an MCI JH 110) and saw this while looking up MCI items.
Now I'm concerned with the ratings and such or whatever I might have issues with this. I'm not knowledgeable about that kind of stuff. Does that matter since he mentioned that the printer type has similar ratings. It's alot bigger than the regular type from Tascam but would that work?
I also realized that it's 24 pin and not 20 pin. When I opened up the hood it's only connected on 5 pins. So my thinking is I would bypass 4 pins taking in consideration that it would even work. Totally clueless. Any advice would be appreciated. Please be easy on my ineptitude.
Best regards,
John
