Hi,

I purchased a Tascam M320B used a few months back. I have hooked up a Shure mic to an XLR port with no problems and sounds good. However, I am trying to hook up just a cd player to the mixing console. It would appear that I am getting a two-channel mono sound. A specific song tipped me off to this because some of the vocals are missing. I think I have tried every possible angle at hooking it up, using a 1/4 jacks and rca plugs in but apparently not. The complexity of the board is new to me and quite overwhelming, but I know it is still a nice piece of equipment. Perhaps there is something wrong internally. I'd appreciate it if somebody could help me out steer me in the right direction. Secondarily, I have an DBX 266 compressor I'm trying to hook up properly. I'd appreciate any help there as well.:)

Thanks

You didn't say what your trying to compress but plug the CD player into the 2 track return.

I now have the cd/stereo issue resolved. I am trying to compress the mic with a dbx 266. Thanks much for your help:)

To compress 1 mic. Plug the mic into a mic input then connect the compressor to that channels insert jack.
