To Infinity..and Beyond!!
I purchased a M-1600 Tascam board on ebay probably about a year ago knowing that I would end up back in an analog situation. I have a Roland Vs-1880, but I just can't get the drum sounds or guitar sounds that I want. Anyway I am buliding up to either syncing an analog 8 track to the VS or selling it totally in lieu of a MSR-16. Ok...Ok....the question. I really didn't look closely at the board when I bought it. It is a 16 channel version. It doesn't have 1/4" outs for each sub group. It some kind of multi-pin connectors on the back for sub groups and tape returns etc. Where can I get these cables? Are they available from Tascam only? Can I make them? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

They're just d-sub connectors. You can get d-sub to 1/4" snakes at guitar center. they're not real expensive. even the hosa ones sound decent...

Hey B.C.,

I found these bad boys. I found some on ebay plus I talked to someone at GC. I appreciate your help. Thought it was gonna cost me a fortune to use this desk. Turns out it won't. Thanks Again.

Does anyone know where I can get a manual for the M-1600? I've been looking on ebay and haven't found one yet. Haven't tried Tascam....I always figure it'll cost an arm and a leg. Thanks
