Tascam fw 1884 & Logic 8

Hi, i just got a used fw 1884 and i'm using logic. i installed the drivers and the board lights up. i go to install the control surface in logic and it shows the unit i double click it to add and nothing happens. i try another one like a mackie unit and it adds it. i also went in and updated the new logic control file from tascam's website. i went in and changed the contents of the package.

any ideas would be awesome as i've been eyeing this board for months!
