I don't want to spend the earth on SD cards. Can you recommend reliable ones that are practical, reliable and affordable?

The Sandisk Ultra series aren't that expensive, $8-10 for 32GB. The problem with the Tascam list is that it's from 2015!

Pick up a current model Sandisk Ultra card, and give it a try (99% certain that it will work). Then settle on one type and buy a half dozen. Think of it as being like a reel of tape or a cassette. You wouldn't by a 24 track tape deck and only have one 2" reel of tape. Do a project and save the SD card for that day when you want access to the original project. (yeah, I know you can back them up on a computer, but having more than one copy is a good thing)

You can also pickup a 1-2TB external USB 3.0 drive for around £30-£40 and thus backup a shedload of card data. Format card and roll again. No, these cheap drives are not SSDs but if treated with even modest care son and I find them very reliable.

Dave.
