I have a few questions about the DM 24 mixer. When you store any of the 8 storable mixes, and recall them does it just keep notes of the saved mix, or does it apply the saved mix, the reason I ask is because I don't believe that it has motorized faders and am not sure how it applies the saved mix. I am not familiar with digital mixers. The next question is with the two available processors on each channel, can you apply any type of envelope, or do you have to get into track copying and pasting to manipulate reverbs and courses that you want to isolate to particular peaces in the song.

Any feed back will be appreciated

Re: DM-24

The faders are indeed motorized and can even be set to be auto selected by touch in the Preferences menu. A lot of people miss this hidden feature. The scene recalls can reset the entire boards mix in an instant. This can change Fader, EQ, Effects,Dynamics and even Routing.

There are two effects processors total and not two per channel. These are set up to work like a traditional effect processor that is assigned signal through an Auxillary send of your choice. The first processor is a Tascam processor that is good for delays, chorus, flangers etc. The second pocessor can be set up as either the TC Works or as the Antares Mic Modeler/Speaker Modeler.(sorry-no autotune) Presumably you would use the mic modeler while tracking and the TC Works during mixdown but it's up to you.

You do get 32 discrete Compressors (one for for each cahnnel) and another for the Master L&R bus.

You also get 16 Gate/Expanders that are available on the first 16 channels only.
