Tascam cassette 4-track question

I've got some stuff recorded on a Porta-One with dbx on. The unit is long gone. Will these cassettes play okay on the other 4-track models by Tascam: porta-two, 424 and so on? Or will have I to find another Porta-One? I'm hoping to transfer them to digital. T.i.a.
 
Your best bet would be to find a machine with dbx Type II NR. There are also outboard dbx Type II devices.

Im sure that they are so cheap on e-bay and the such,you should just buy the same machine that the originals were recorded on.......trust me I know !!
 
Tascam's 4-track cassette format is the same across all models so assuming alignment isn't messed up, any of their 4-track cassette units with dbx II will play your tapes properly.
