hi everyone,
i come from france so please excuse my english.
i really appreciate all the thread in this forum, very professionnal.
i'm here just for a problem, and will be glad to help anyone else.
i would like to MIDI SYNC my tascam 688 with my cubase sequencer.
the only thing i want is that the tascam start and stop when i press start and stop on my sequencer, so i can synchonize all the start of all tracks. i only use sequencer but all synth are analog and going directly into line into the tascam.
for example, i want to record my bass line on tascam. i write all my bass sequence on cubase, and record on tascam.
the second step is to record my rythm. i have to put my tascam to 0, and start a new recording on an other track.
BUT my bass track allready recorded must be sync with my rythm. in other way, tascam must start for recording exactly at the same time for bass than for rythm.
i think the only way to do this start synchronized is to have my tascam starting (and stopping) when cubase send message start and stop.
hope i'm clear enough.
