Tascam 44 bias trimpots

I have a Tascam 44 (not the later version, the earlier version as seen here: http://www.angelfire.com/electronic2/vintagetx/Teac-Tascam44.html ) and i tried to find the bias trimpots inside but i couldnt. Does anyone have an idea of where they are inside and how to get to them? I took it apart somewhat but still couldnt find them. I think the 40-4 should be similar enough that if anyone has some experience with that machine it would also apply to this one. I know i should just break down and buy the manual, but right now spending 50 bucks on a pdf seems less than desirable to me.
