hi,
i'm gianmaria from switzerland.
i tried to do a bounce with a tascam 424 on the trk 4, but the volumes were really low.
i noticed that i was using a type1 cassette so i changed it with a chrome type. but the problem remains. when i bounce the leds are full and seems that is too high (there is also a little whistle) but then when i hear what's on trk 4 the volumes are really low...
someone knows which problems could it be? maybe the heads?
thanks and sorry for my not perfect english, hope you can understand :)
ciao

Do you have the manual and are you familiar with using the machine? Is this a new problem (in other words did it USED to work and now it isn't working right)?

By the way, no apologies for your "not perfect english"...if your english is "not perfect", then I'd hate to have my use of the Swiss language judged! :)

hei, thanks for answer.
i have the manual. but i'm not really familiar with it. it's not a new problem. i had it from the beginning but i tried to record with only 4 tracks for some time ;) lazyness. speaking with people they told me that maybe the problem is that i dont switch off the headphones cue, so that when bouncing it create something like a loop. it records at the same times two different things... i have still to try it without cueing. but then i don't know when stop the recording... can note the timing.
in the manual about the bouncing is not written how the input should be. i think all on tape... right?
anyway, in our part (south) of switzerland we speak italian :)
