Tascam 22-2?

I may buy a Tascam 22-2 for 150$ and was wondering if its worth it? i know the machine only has 2 tracks, but have heard it records well for the price. how could this be incorporated into digital recording? thanks for any help!

It could be used as a mix-down deck to introduce some soft tape compression, for example.

I have no idea if the Tascams are worth $150.

Yes .... if ...

the 22-2 is a last generation reel /reel, 1/4 in. 2 channel mix down machine, so as Regebo said - the perfect place to do your digital mixes to get a little anolog into them.

If the machine is in good operating condition, that's not a bad price, if it's a dog that had serious useage in a studio, it's high. The key factor with reel/reel is head life and head condition, and then transport mechanism condition.

But yeah, it's certainly worth checking on .
