is there a way to transfer a wav file to the console that wasn't recorded in it. maybe a drum track made on fruityloops or some older files that i already had in my comp?
I already tried but when I try to play it back there is nothing!!!
I've noticed the file names have some numbers in it by example MR00012.wav or something like that.
can anyone help me? I do need to transfer drumtracks to the MR8.
thanx in advance.

Name the track tr01.wav, up tp tr08.wav. Make certain it is also a mono wav file, the MR 8 won't recognise anything else.

It didn't work, any ideas... I really need to transfer wavs to the MR8, HELP!!!!!!

Record a couple tracks (just garbage), and copy the song to your computer. Use notepad to look at the .adl file - you'll need to create or edit a .adl file to match your .wav.

For example:
(Entry) 0001 (Cut) F "tr01.wav" 1 1 00.00.00.00|0000 00.00.01.00|0000 00.01.00.00|1152 _

The above portion of the sample song .adl is saying that track "1" is playing "tr01.wav", which starts at the beginning and is one minute in length.

Several of us are working on some software utilities that will make creating songs from scratch easier.

Fostex WAV Manager might also do this, but I think that's more for copying wavs to and from existing songs.

thanx man, i'll give a try!!! sounds a little bit complicated but i'll manage somehow.

The trick is to record a few tunes on the MR-8 and look at the resulting .ADL files - you'll start to see where things change. And like I said, there are software utilities coming that will make this easier.

The main thing is, unlike other products, it actually works with the MR-8. The stuff I'm working on now all started with a WAV from a PC.
