Pert 1. Bold or imprudent in behaviour speech or behaviour; SAUCY, forward.

No wonder he changed the pron of his name, who would want to be regarded as saucy for god's sake.
Probably like all the Muellers changing their name to Miller after WW2 when they emigrated to the states.

That will be good arsenal in my Rush conversations, I will know nothing about Rush but I will continually correct people as to the proper pronunciation of the drummers name. As a Rush fan maybe you can help me, I have heard this song a few times and I dont know what it is called. I heard it the other night in the car and the only words that come back to me were something like...............dah dah dah dah dah a little bit longer......dah dah dah dah dah a little bit stronger......(and then I think it was) the innocence slips away........... maybe the wrong words but it was close. One of the finer chorus/bridges I have heard, the transition from the verse to that part gave me one of those warm tingly things that I experience o too rarely from a fine piece of music.

wot was this thread about again?????????
Time Stand Still...from Hold Your Fire.

No invective? Profanity? Totally objective opinions posited as gospel?

I'm disappointed.

Oh.
...From Hold Your Fire...you CUMSTAINED FUCKMONKEY!!!
Now SHUT YOUR FILTHY PIEHOLE!!!

Something like that?

The "cumstained fuckmonkey" has your typical flair, but "piehole"????

It's like you're not even trying anymore.

Thanks, I shall try and pick it up.

Can I use your term cumstained fuckmonkey in one of my songs?
Do you have anything as equally colorful to rhyme with it for the 2nd line?

Mooths is plural for moth. Its just the way the scots pronounce it.

Pert 2. A shampoo/conditioner combo product which died a slow death in the 80's. Might even still be in production today...

It's not an "opinion" you cumdumpster, it's a fact. A fact like..."the earth is round"..."water boils at 212F/100C"..."you're mom is a whore". Get it? A fact.

ya,that doesnt help at all. You were also the first "opinion". I want to hear an answer from someone else, thank you.

To sum up ALL 30 (or so) replies............hardware ,finish rhee rhee?????,you suck, asshole, troll, cambodia, canadian, rush,peert-pert,camels back, hold your fire, fuck monkey, mooth, scotts, moth, neus, shampoo, ernie, behaviour and finally....... cumdumpster. I mean, if you cant make a decision based on that, well, I dont know what can help you.
The drums in the SL Custom 5 piece kit have newly designed Soundbridge high-tension lugs with minimal shell contact and rubber insulators for maximum shell vibration. High-end claw hooks with rubber spacers -- same as used on the high-end Tama Starclassic drums -- protect wood bass drum hoop. Innovative spurs have lock nuts to prevent rubber feet from loosening. The Tama Superstar SL Drum Set has quick-set tilter hardware and Roadpro stands.

Anyway,If I were you (but Im not), I would go with the lesser of the two if your going to keep it in the studio. Just get some good heads and it will probably sound fine.

What the fuck is wrong with you people??? Are you so dim as to not be able to go to the goddamed TAMA site and read for yourselves???

phaqu...you are the reason abortion is still legal.
All that you posted regarding the SL series also applies to the lesser SK series.

Flamer...you need to go to the right website.

This is gonna be my studio set and also the set i will use with my thrash metal band.

Arright, straight answer...

The cheaper set has a wrap finish and the more expensive is a laquered finish. What's the difference you ask? Tone.

A wrapped drum is wood with a sheet of colored plastic laminated around it for the finish. The plastic doesn't vibrate the way wood does, often has gaps or pockets of air between it and the shell, and therefore chokes the ring a bit. Wrapped shells sound a bit more dead.

Laquered shells are unrestricted. There is nothing to interfere with the vibration of the shell and you will get a purer tone.

All this is only important if you don't muffle your drums alot. Taping tissue or gel or foam to the head does more to kill the sound than a wrap. You have to decide how you setup is controlled (or not) and whether the $200 extra is that big of a deal to you.
