Ok there were a few posts about the tama mic stands a while back and I finally got around to buying one this week. It just came in today, haven't even put a mic on it yet. But wow, this thing blows my cheap onstage stand and my only slightly better then the onstage stand; a muscians friend stand away. Nice tilt lock down, every thing is "heavy" duty on this stand. Only one problem, and that is I need more of them!!! Wife wasn't to happy when I told her how much it was, she was like "you spent $50 on a mic stand!" But in the same order from MF I got her some stuff for her guitar, so all is right in our household, I think.... ;) :p

I guess if tama can make drums stay put, they should be able to make a 2-3pound mic not sag, atleast those are my hopes for it.

I have a 10" add-on tom, a 16" crash, and an 8" splash cymbal attached to one of my Tama mic stands. Yeah, they're seriously solid.

I was hyping them a while back. You can almost do chin ups on one. :D

I got my first (only) Tama from eBay for $9.95. Nobody was interested then, but they sure are now.

My OnStage suck, and suck especially harshly when compared to the Tama.

Well, I'm guess I'm rather suprised they're worth the money. Thought they'd just be a gimmick, but then again, Tama does make some solid drum hardware! I'll probably get Tama stands when I need more stands!
