T-Bird vs. XP 1800

I am about to upgrade to an AMD processor and AsusTek AM7 mobo. I am seriously considering the XP 1800+, but I have heard that the T-Bird is a better processor for home recording. What are your experiences, especially with Cubase?

you can't compare the 2 really, the XP1800+ is a overall better chip. i have a xp 1600+ now, and i've had a regular athlon and t-bird system, the XP's are far better for production. and if your gonna use cubase your gonna want the extra power that the XP1800 will give. i'm about to go with a dual XP 1800+ system..

be sure you get a lot of ram

Im about to upgrade my 1gig atlon to the XP series, still dont know if i like Microsoft XP over 98 as a platform yet though...
