cheers Ray...Im going to scrap the second half and build something more towards drum & bass and less commercial sounding, I think it might work better than the tune as it is..


having to practice my christmas "concert" just now so it wont be until the new year ;)
 
Yup... This one is very interesting, Keith. Good work. I like the 2nd half much more than the first, and as has been mentioned, I think they'd work very well as separate songs. Got lost in the 2nd half, which is a great thing. Sounded wonderful.

Still waiting for your album!
 
Thanks man...I think i didnt spend enough time on the 2nd half...I can hear a few lazy spots so I may shelve it and finish the first half as a project first then see if I can do anything with it

still it was a pretty large project to mix...an' I enjoyed that part :)

Sounded good dude. I like the big booming bass drop things in the beginning, but it got a little boring. It really picked up about halfway through and was interesting till the end. Nice work overall.

Lol. Not even close. I've got so much shit to do in 3 days it's not even funny. Next week I'm back to being free though and I'm gonna go all moonish on my drums. :D

wifey and I took Christmas off this year mostly.
No presents ..... no tree ...... I'm gonna hang a string on our ficus. :laughings:

Im not normally a bah humbug, we normally exchange presents and Ill even spend christmas day with other folks if the missus is working, but this year nada...not a card, present, decoration..anything

Im having subway or papa johns for christmas dinner as the final insult lol

I must say...its been most relaxing :)

Did not cause my brain to explode as your last one did, but still has some of those timing things that make it smoke a bit.

Like the direction it took, particularly around 6:25

last minute or two you need to go back and smack some more 3d on it as you do so well.

Been meaning to listen to this for a while, but I think you originally had to download the song and I was in work at the time. Nothing to add other than excellent work - very nice kcearl
 
Hey Keith - This was really good; stuff was spread out wide and there was good depth - very 3-d. I even listened on my Sony earbuds and those ultra lows translated perfectly. I nodded off after a few, but the baby elephant woke me up! How'd you get him to trumpet on the beat like that? :eek: Very impressive ;):D

Really cool track!!!!

Not sure whether you would, but if you wanted a "Radio Mix", you could cut straight from the end of the first set of BOM, BOM, BOMs (Ie from about 0:19) to the up and down WHOOOO just before the dance beat (at ~4:52). Would bring the whole track down to a Radio/Impatient Listener friendly 3:34!!! :)

I'm another vote for the second half - I was raised on radio so I'm comfortable with that style. The first half was okay but not as danceable and groovy as part deux. Personal preference but regardless you have some excellent synth skills.....
 
Hey thanks for the positive comments fellas...I thought this one would have drifted off to page three by now...just got back from holidays so Ill have to catch up with all the new tunes in here and start another of my own

got to take it easy just now as i have a sore head from falling on it...some through snowboarding but some through drink :D
