...i wanna get something that will give me instruments (mainly piano) as close to real as possible. i deff think its better for composing plus you can use it in performances.

was looking for other synths but couldnt find anything more impressive than Jupiter 80. its expensive as hell..
Good piano sounds are hard to find, I'd suggest you to take a look at plugin pianos (Alicias keys, Ivory, Vienna Imperial...)

Yes, I just bought one of these...

There is also the new Casio PX-5S

Thank you so much for your help!
By the way do you anyything about Minimoog? are they good?

i really liked Kurzweil PC3LE6.
also StudioLogic Sledge and Access Music Virus TI2 Polar . Virus is too expensive though.
any thoughts?
You are looking at completely different animals here. Hard to compare... There are basically two kinds of "synths":
1) The real synth which generates the sound on the go (Virus, Moog, Sledge) - you can choose the waveforms to start with and then create and alter the sound all by yourself.
2) The "synthesizer", which is actually a sampler (like the Kurzweil). The piano/percussion/pad/string/whatever sounds are prerecorded and you are just playing these sounds back by pressing the keys. You can change some parameters like attack and release, maybe add some echo but thats all, you really can't change the piano sound into something else..

One synth can't do everything.
Or you could just get a midi controller and play the sounds form your computer.

Oh and if you could strech your budget a bit then be sure to take a look at Clavia Nord synths, these have some beautiful sounds. :)

Sampletron all the way..... not technically a synth but its full of wonderful old vintage sounds

Just got a Juno Di, and I'm quite pleased with it, so far. Over 1000 patches, vocoder, software for making unlimited patches and splits. Plus, you can play right out of the box. Only drawback is noisy keys, but not too annoying.
